The State Prize named after Zulfiya

The People’s poetess of Uzbekistan, famous public official, laureate of international awards named after Javokharlal Neru and “Nilufar” for her creative works which glorify peace and friendship and for her active participation in the movement of the writers of Asia and Africa, life, creative heritage, spiritual world and an ethical appearance of Zulfiya Isroilova which can be the greatest example not only for the Uzbek girls, but also to all Asian girls were evaluated highly by our nation and the president.

State Prize named after Zulfiya was founded according to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan       No-2326 “On supporting the proposals for establishment of the State Prize named after Zulfiya “. Then the image of our honorable poetess was created according to the decree “On erecting the monument of People’s poetess of Uzbekistan in Tashkent city ” dated from 2007.

State Prize named after Zulfiya was established as an example of high honor and esteem to women and great respect to the creator; and poetry was a leading star and a way of finding hundreds of talented girls through the years. Every year, smart, initiative and gifted girls, students of schools, lyceums, colleges and higher educational establishments who study showing their academic achievements and abilities and work hard to obtain the goal of the introduction of the ideas of national independence from the Republic of Kharakhalpakstan, regions and Tashkent city are honored annually with the State Prize named after Zulfiya for their achievements in the spheres of literature, culture, art, science and education. Traditionally, “Zulfiya” awarding ceremony is held on the eve of the International Women’s day. State Prize winners are given diploma and a lump sum bonus, equal to 50 minimal salaries. The winners of the state award named after Zulfiya, the pupils of schools, lyceums, colleges are admitted to higher educational establishments according to the chosen major without entrance examinations. According to the Decree of the President of Uzbekistan №3717 dated from February 2, 2006 some changes were added to the stature of the award. (confirm to the decree the State Prize named after Zulfiya was arranged to be given not to girls aged under 25, but to those aged from 14 to 22). As it is stated in the stature in August and September the town level, and in November the Republic of Kharakalpakstan, regional and Tashkent city levels should be held.
